How do I Leave a Legacy:

The most important step is making the decision to include the Missouri Cameron Veterans Home in your will or trust. Speak with your attorney to discuss your options and formalize your wishes. If you have already made arrangements for your will, know that your request can be added at your discretion. 

If you decide the make a bequest to the Cameron Veterans Home Assistance League, the following language and legal terms may be helpful to share with your attorney:

How do I give in honor or in memory of a loved one? 

You may give to the Veterans Assistance League in many ways. One of the most meaningful sentiments is to give on behalf of a loved one. Upon your donation, please include a note to the Cameron Veterans Home Assistance League with your donation identifying the individual to whom you would like to honor. For example, you may add the following to your donation: 

“This bequest is given in honor of/in memory of (name)” 

Notifying the League about your intention will ensure that your loved one’s name, along with your own, will be included in our recognition of our supporters. However, you may indicate upon your donation that you would like to remain anonymous. 

Donating via Piryx online gives you the option to proclaim whom your donation is in honor of, as you will see in the box that appears in the online form. This is a secure site that allows the VAL to safely receive your donations. How much should I donate? The amount you choose to donate is completely up to you. There are many things that we are able to provide because of your generous donations, including day trips and entertainment for our Veterans, as well as books for our library and social events at the Missouri Cameron Veterans Home. We only ask that if you do wish to make a donation larger than $500.00, please send a personal check via postal mail or deliver in person to the Cameron home at 1111 Euclid Ave, Cameron, Mo, 64429. This helps us to keep administration costs down so that a higher percentage of your donation goes directly towards benefiting our Veterans.
