On Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2016, the Veterans at the Cameron Missouri Veterans Home enjoyed many festivities.
Wilma Jobson and Carol Payne of the Bucklin Unit 57 American Legion Auxiliary delivered valentine cookies and individually addressed valentine cards to all residents of the Cameron Missouri Veterans Home. Jobson, Unit 57 Auxiliary President, stated it was an honor to provide the valentine treats to military veterans.
We also had a Valentine’s Day party, where Veterans Bill Petty and Mary McCarty were crowned King & Queen. The Assistance League sponsored the festivities, including a concert by musician BJ Talley.
