MVH-Cameron began restricted access to visitors, vendors, and volunteers starting in the evening on Saturday, March 7, 2020. This measure was taken immediately after the first Missouri presumptive positive COVID-19 case was announced in Missouri that same night. This action was taken in an effort to protect our veterans. MVC staff at all seven veteran homes continue this policy until further notice. Preparations are also being taken to monitor the staff closely as well as prepare isolation areas in the event if there are positive cases within the homes at some point. MVC staff are doing everything they can to make veterans comfortable and to stay in touch with loved ones using FaceTime, Skype, and telephones to communicate. Donations to veterans are note being taken at this time. These temporary measures that MVC staff are taking in coordination with CDC and DHSS guidelines.
