There is a long list of tiny miracles that happen every day and at the Cameron Veterans Home, the smiles and joy on the faces of our Veterans are miracles we cherish. We can help make those smiles appear with your help. One time donations, memorials, monthly giving and supporting our events are all ways that you can be a part of the Assistance League mission. Visit our donate page to learn more.
You can contribute to the work of the Cameron Veterans Home Assistance League in a myriad of ways. Beyond straight financial giving, gifts in kind are also appreciated. Sponsor 4 veterans going to a Royals game. Better yet, go along with them. You could sponsor one month of Bingo. The next time you plan a birthday celebration, ask for financial contributions to the League in lieu of gifts. Sponsor a fun activity such as a musical performance, magic show, pet visit through the Humane Society or arrange for a reading of Korean war stories, Vietnam stories or stories from the Second Gulf War.
The Cameron Veterans Home Assistance League is an adjunct organization to the Missouri Veterans Home. The League exists for the purpose of enhancing the lives of veterans living there. The League uses 100 percent of all donated funds to enrich the daily lives of veterans by providing them with services and experiences not covered through the Cameron Missouri Veterans Home budget.
Whether we are enjoying bingo and card games, movie nights or ball games, there is always an event going on at the Cameron Veterans Home that the Assistance League has put together. From visits to local sports mascots to school groups visiting with Veterans, our goal is always to enrich the lives of the Veterans living in the home. One of the benefits these events bring to our community is that everyone is welcome to join us. You are welcome to attend our fundraising events, including golf tournaments, clay shooting tournaments and our annual 5K run or just stop by to read or play a board game with the Veterans. There is always a place for everyone who would like to join us on our mission to bringing joy into the Cameron Veterans Home.
